Structural Design and Analysis
- Standards Followed:
- IS 800:2007 – General construction in steel (Limit State Method)
- IS 875 (Parts 1–5) – Design loads for buildings and structures (dead load, live load, wind load, seismic loads, snow loads)
- IS 1893 (Part 1): 2016 – Earthquake resistant design of structures
- Design Software: STAAD.Pro, Tekla, and MBS for structural modeling, detailing, and load simulation.
- Load Considerations: Wind uplift, live maintenance loads, seismic zone classification, and thermal expansion are addressed in the design.
Roofing Material Specification
- Sheet Type: Trapezoidal profile sheets (Hi-Rib or Industrial Rib) or standing seam concealed-fix systems.
- Material:
- Galvalume Steel Sheets (55% Al-Zn alloy-coated), AZ-150 grade (as per ASTM A792 and equivalent Indian acceptance)
- Color Coated Steel conforming to IS 14246:2013 for pre-painted galvanized steel
- Yield Strength: Minimum 550 MPa
- Thickness: 0.47 mm to 0.60 mm TCT (Total Coated Thickness)
- Paint Coating: Polyester/RMP/SMP/PVDF as per project requirement and environmental exposure.
Purlins and Roof Support Members
- Material: Cold-formed Z and C purlins fabricated using IS 513 Grade D steel or equivalent
- Standard Followed: IS 801 – Design of cold-formed light gauge steel structural members
- Purlin Thickness: 1.6 mm to 2.5 mm (varies with span and loading)
- Fully integrated with the main frame using cleat connections, anchor bolts, and bracing systems as per IS 800.
Roof Slope and Drainage
- Typical Slope Range: 1:10 to 1:20 depending on site conditions, building width, and rainfall intensity (as per NBC 2016 Rainfall Data)
- Gutter & Downspout Design: Based on IS 2527 – Code of practice for fixing rainwater gutters and downpipes
- Materials: Pre-painted Galvalume/GI with anti-rust coating or PVC/HDPE downpipes.

- Turbo Ventilators & Ridge Vents: Designed for passive ventilation in compliance with industrial building ventilation standards.
- Translucent Sheets: Polycarbonate sheets conforming to IS 14443 for natural daylighting
